These are the terms that govern how OMXAV operates. Written in plain language — the same way I talk to people.
OMXAV is a personal tech support service operated by Abhinav Paliyath Anil, based in Ontario, Canada. OMXAV is a brand name — not a registered corporation or partnership. By using any OMXAV service (free consult, quick fix, or deep fix), you agree to these terms.
OMXAV provides tech support for individuals. This includes software troubleshooting, hardware guidance, gaming and PC build advice, and general tech questions. Services are primarily delivered remotely. In-person arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis for clients local to Kitchener — please get in touch to discuss.
Tech problems are unpredictable. While I do my best to resolve every issue, I cannot guarantee a specific outcome for every situation. Some problems are caused by third-party software, hardware failures, or factors outside my control. I will always be honest with you about what's possible.
Quick Fix exception: For Quick Fix sessions specifically, you only pay if the issue is resolved. If I can't fix it, there's no charge — that's the deal.
OMXAV is not liable for any data loss, hardware damage, software corruption, or consequential damages that may occur during or after a support session. You are responsible for backing up your data before any session. I will always advise you to do so.
My total liability in any situation is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service.
I may update these terms occasionally. If something significant changes, I'll note it here with a new effective date. Continuing to use OMXAV services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information I collect, why I collect it, and how I handle it. OMXAV complies with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Your information is stored in standard business tools (email, messaging apps, and basic records). It is not shared with anyone outside of what's needed to deliver the service. Stripe handles all payment data under their own security standards.
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information I hold about you, request corrections, or ask me to delete it. To do any of these, email abhinav.anil@omxav.com and I'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
OMXAV uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
I keep this simple because I think it should be simple.
No charge, nothing to refund. Just show up and we'll talk.
You only pay if the issue is resolved. If I can't fix it during the session, there's no charge. No questions asked. If the same issue returns within 48 hours of the fix, I'll look at it again at no additional cost.
Deep Fix sessions are charged the session fee regardless of outcome — because complex problems sometimes don't have a clean resolution in one session. I'll always be upfront before we start about what's realistic. If you're not happy with how a session went, reach out and we'll talk about it.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel a booked session, please do so at least 2 hours before. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged a cancellation fee.
Email abhinav.anil@omxav.com with your name and what the issue is. I'll respond within 1–2 business days. Refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
